Spain has the highest unemployment rate of the European Union in 2009

According to the autumn forecast submitted jointly by the leading institutes of economic conditions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland which include the Institute for World Economics in Kiel and Munich IFO-the unemployment rate rise by the European Union a average of 7.4% in 2009.

Spain is the EU country with the highest unemployment rate in both 2008 and 2009. In Portugal, unemployment will rise to 8.2%, while Greece recorded 8.0%, Hungary 7.8% and Germany 7.6%. Poland, Belgium and Italy slightly exceed 7%, while Ireland, Finland and the United Kingdom are around 6.5%. Sweden, Malta and Romania share by 6%, Bulgaria 5.6% reach while Lithuania and Estonia recorded a 5.0% both. Among the countries with the lowest unemployment problems include Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg and Austria, but certainly are the Netherlands and Denmark which have the lowest unemployment rate at 3.3% in both cases.
