According to an analysis published by Afi-AGETT , the profile of long-term unemployed corresponds to that of a male, aged between 25 and 34 years of industry or construction. Unlike the crisis of 90, young people under 25 years are among the most long-term unemployed.
The increase in long-term unemployment has been noted in all regions, especially in the Balearics, where the unemployed with more than a year in unemployment have multiplied by 17, followed by Murcia (nearly seven times) and La Rioja and Community Valenciana (more than five times more).
For AGETT president, Francisco Aranda, the sharp rise of long-term unemployment "highlights the limited effectiveness" of the active policies of employment and job placement.
