The Treasury puts 6,000 million in bonds to ten years, 1,000 more than expected, for good reception

The Spanish Treasury today placed approximately 6,000 million euros in syndicated debt issue to ten years, according to Efe ahead of financial sources, 1,000 million more than originally planned, given the interest and the good reception given to this issue.
The same sources said that the Treasury received orders from investors for more than 13,000 million euros and that the differential emission is 195 basis points over the "mid swap" the reference rate for such loans.
For this occasion, the Treasury chose as intermediaries of the issue to Santander, BBVA, Caja Madrid, Barclays, Credit Agricole and Deutsche Bank.
The sources stressed the "very strong" demand that the issue has received and the great geographical division of investors.
Thus, described the reception given to "very positive".
This syndicated issuance is made after the Treasury consiguiese place last July 1 3500 million in five-year bonds with a 3.727% interest marginal, only 0.14 points higher than the previous issue of the same name held in May.
