The question from a Spanish to her Spanish friend, who lives in the U.S.:
Spanish Why are we poor?
Response of your friend who lives in the U.S.:
Hello old, how is that trees do not see the forest. How can you call poor, when you can pay for a liter of gasoline more than triple what I pay?. When you give yourself the luxury of paying electricity rates, mobile phone and 80% more expensive than it cost me to me. Pay commissions for banking services and credit cards three times what they cost us here, or when a car that costs me about $ 2,000 you can pay for it the equivalent of $ 20.000. Because you can indulge themselves of giving $ 18,000 to the government and we do not.
YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND!
We are poor, the people of Florida. So the State Government, considering our precarious financial situation, we charge only 2% VAT + other 4% is Federal, total = 6%. And not 16% as you rich living in SPAIN.
Furthermore, it is you who have 'Luxury Tax' such as gasoline tax, gas, alcohol, cigarettes, beer, wine, etc.. Reaching up to 320% of original value, and other taxes such as on income (tax on wages), tax on new car purchases, PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX (and urban land tax), tax on goods companies, taxes that your father left you dying, car Use Tax. And, lucky you still give you the luxury of paying a 16% VAT on everything you buy, plus all the paperwork and national and municipal tax payments.
Because if you were not rich, what would be a tax of that caliber? ¿Poor?, Where? A country that is able to collect income tax and personal property as SPAIN IN ADVANCE necessarily have to SWIM IN ABUNDANCE, believing that the business of the nation and all its inhabitants can always make money in spite of looting and assaults , bites, fires, drought, corruption, looting and flooding tax and of course certain that everyone should win a lot.
The poor we who live in the U.S. who pay NO income tax if they earn less than $ 3,000 per month per person and there pay private security in homes, offices, banks, housing, etc.. While we have to settle for public safety. There to send their children to private schools and see if we will be poor here in the U.S., that public schools will provide the textbooks providing that you have nothing to buy.
Sometimes it amazes me the wealth of the Spanish calling anyone a loan, and are able to pay 8% interest, at least. THAT IS TO BE RICH! Not like here, I just got 5% per year, just because we are NOT able to pay more. I suppose, like all rich, you have an AUTO and you're paying an 8 or 10% per year of insurance. If it's information, I pay only $ 345 per year.
And as you have plenty of money, you if you can make annual payments on account of what you call road tax, while here we can not afford such luxuries as much paid $ 15 per year to STICKER no matter what car model you handle But of course, that resource is for people who can not dispense the huge flows the Spanish that you manage.
The math. Who is the rich, and who is poor? Finally, over 20% of the economically active population in SPAIN DOES NOT WORK, but the INEM says otherwise, because he called work to the unemployed who give courses, street vendors, the parking and that 'dirty' the windows at traffic lights. Here, however, only 4% in the same situation. Do not you think that living without work is a luxury that only rich people can give?
We stayed in SPAIN you because you are RICH. It is the poor like me that we came to try their luck elsewhere.
They told me also that the officials are paid a LOT of people pay, perform or not and have almost as many cars as in any U.S. official since we are about 400 million and in Spain only 40. What envy YES THAT IS LIVING IN THE WEALTH!
Well, I send you a hug and then tell me how there are doing with the new budget and new elections what is certain is that they increase more taxes. But do not worry that inflation will dilute the will. Well that's not important when you have the money to pay ...
Sincerely,
You poor fellow immigrant
